Player Field Announcement for the 2023 Dow Tennis Classic
MIDLAND, Mich. (October. 4, 2023)
The 35th Annual Dow Tennis Classic Player Field is looking strong and growing even stronger as the Wild Cards confirm their spot! We have past DTC Singles and Doubles Champions and Finalists with many returning to Midland and many notable international rising stars set to compete.
At the top of the list is Tatjana Maria, the 2015 & 2017 DTC Singles Champion. She'll be making her 7th appearance in Midland and a fan favorite. We remember her bringing her family to this event, and her little ones 'coaching' her during practice times. In 2023, she played at the US Open, Wimbledon, the French Open, Indian Wells, and the Australian Open, as well as many other tournaments.
Harriet Dart made an impression in 2021, making her way all the way to the Doubles Final with partner, Asia Muhammed. They came out victorious and crowned the 2021 Doubles Champions. In the 2021 Singles competition, she lost in the round of 32. She played in this year's US Open Qualifying Rounds, and we are excited to see her back on our courts.
Fun fact... 71% of the players listed below have played in Midland before and most have played multiple times. Note the -_x after their country flag for the number of times they have already played in the Dow Tennis Classic. As you can see, players really do like coming back to play at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.
