DTC players and coaches who hail from around the country and around the world are so grateful for the chance to stay with Midland families during the tournament. If you have a guest room in your house and are interested in more info, please email Karen at kskorup@greatermidland.org. 

ADULT BALL-RUNNER

Watch the action from the best seat in the house! We need volunteers available for daytime matches Monday through Friday. We will teach you everything you need to know! If you are interested in ball running, refer to the bottom of the page to sign up!

Junior BALL-RUNNER

Watch the action from the best seat in the house! We need volunteers available for prime-time matches Monday through Friday with the potential for Semi-Finals, and Finals on Saturday and Sunday. We will teach you everything you need to know! If you are interested in ball running, sign up using the link at the bottom of this page!

Usher

Ushers will help organize and direct people to their seats, answer questions from attendees, and be a friendly face at the tournament. One special nuance of tennis tournaments is that people are only allowed to move around during “changeovers”, in between games. Ushers will help to ensure this rule is followed by all spectators. Requirement: Must be able to be on your feet for an extended period of time.

Grand Slam Dining Assistant

As a Grand Slam Dining Assistant, you will monitor patrons entering Grand Slam Dining to ensure they have appropriate wristbands.  You will also assist other Grand Slam Dining volunteers to keep things running smoothly for all in attendance.

 
 

Concession Server

Helping coordinate/run the concession stand for those who do not have access to the Grand Slam Dining.

Bartenders

Bartenders are needed for both our General Admission and Club seat ticket holders in the Concessions area as well as in Grand Slam dining. You must be 18+ to serve alcohol.

TICKET Takers

Assisting the tournament staff in scanning tickets and helping with any questions.

Traffic Coordinator

Checking parking passes at the necessary lots, as well as directing traffic at the GMTC parking lot or an official tournament satellite lot.

CREDENTIAL ASSISTANT

Verify the credentials of players, coaches, and umpires to gain access to specific tournament areas.

DRIVER

Drivers will be responsible for helping WTA players and tournament staff move between the designated event locations and the airport. Volunteers should be familiar with the local streets and be comfortable driving a van. Requirements: Drivers must be 25+ years old.

    • 2-3 shifts: 2 General Admission tickets to the night of choosing, Thurs. to Sun. (same day only)

    • 4-6 shifts: 4 General Admission tickets to the night of choosing. (Thurs. to Sun. 2 and 2 or all 4 for the same night)

    • 7 or more shifts: 4 Club Seat tickets to night of choosing. (Thurs. to Sun. 2 and 2 or all 4 for the same night)
