Greater Midland’s Dow Tennis Classic Earns Prestigious Recognition as #1 2024 WTA 125 Tournament in North and Latin America

MIDLAND, Mich (January 10, 2025)

The Dow Tennis Classic, a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) 125 Tournament Event hosted in Midland, Michigan by Greater Midland, has been named the #1 2024 125 Tournament in the Americas and the 3rd Best 125 Tournament Globally by players on the WTA Tour. Excluding Grand Slam Events, The Dow Tennis Classic is the longest-running women’s professional tournament in the U.S.

This recognition highlights the exceptional efforts of the tournament team to deliver a world-class event that resonates with players and fans alike. On behalf of Portia Archer, CEO of the WTA, and the entire WTA team, the players extended their congratulations, noting the Dow Tennis Classic's commitment to excellence and its reputation as a best-in-class professional women’s tennis event.

The Dow Tennis Classic joins esteemed tournaments in Bastad, Sweden, and Hong Kong in receiving this prestigious recognition, underscoring its place among the finest WTA 125 events worldwide.
